I intended to start this post with an apology....but in all honesty...I can't say that I am sorry that my blog has been neglected for the past several weeks. We have been enjoying what one might refer to as a Holiday Hiatus of sorts. We traveled to Las Vegas for Thanksgiving break and enjoyed several days of being spoiled by my Mom's hospitality and holiday goodies. (it's just not the holiday's without peanut butter fudge and chex mix). We then returned and enjoyed a wonderfully relaxing Christmas. Some of the highlights were: our 2nd annual Christmas Eve Seafood dinner. Last year we decided to celebrate Christmas Eve with Wade's parents by hosting a seafood dinner in our home. It was such a huge hit we brought it back for round two this year. Our Holiday feast included shrimp scampi, lobster tail and crab legs along with stuffed mushrooms, twice baked potatoes, vegetables and garlic cheese biscuts. Then Grandma and Grandpa Lindley joined us again Christmas morning to watch the boys open their presents and enjoy a breakfast of peach french toast. We later enjoyed a Christmas dinner of prime rib, grandma's famous shredded cream potatoes and spaghetti squash. We spent the next several days in our pj's challenging each other on the wii and games we recieved for christmas.
As with most things in life...all good things must come to an end. Tomorrow life resumes... but not without some great memories and a few extra pounds.
One regret I do have... I was enjoying 'the moments' so much... I didn't capture them on film.

Sounds like a perfect holiday! I miss you guys! Thanksgiving is never long enough. And at least you wont be regreting the no pictures anymore with the 365. We need to chat I want to see how its going with you! Love ya!
Oh my heack- you can cook! You are making me hungry! Sounds like SUCH a great Christmas! Miss you guys. I agree with Debbi, Thanksgiving is never long enough! Love you all!
That was supposed to say 'heck'- obviously!
I was thinking the same thing as Claire, that Christmas dinner sounds AMAZING! Daniel and I REALLY need to come visit you this summer. I feel like I didn't even get to visit with you over Thanksgiving and that stinks! I'm glad you had such a wonderful holiday season though! I miss your boys!
Sounds like a marvelous vacation! And if you don't mind, I'm coming to your house next Christmas Eve. Yum!
We had a great vacation, too. Despite both kids getting the flu over two seperate weekends, we were able to do a lot and make happy memories. Thomas and I both agreed it was one of our best holidays ever.
But today, I must admit, I am super low energy. Haven't gotten much done at all. Maybe tomorrow I'll get on the stick. Maybe.
We miss you all SO much!!! Makenna would be very happy if you could just send your boys to come live with us, she asks for them ALL the time. I'm surprised at how she remembers to ask for them alot being how little she is. I guess she has a better memory than I give her credit for. We are so glad you all had such a great christmas and your christmas eve dinner sounds so yummy!
Deanna I thought of you so much at Christmas time. We were in Lanark ID with Josh's family and took a trip to Logan a couple of times. I didn't have your number to call you though. I'm so glad you had a nice holiday with your family. Miss you! Much love...Rachel
My kids would love your Christmas Eve tradition. Very Original!
What a great Christmas. Can we come to your house next Christmas Eve? What a menu- sounds delicious!
Now that I am starving and cant go to the store. I need that Peach recipe. It is about time you update you blog. HAHA. If you need to adopt a family over the holiday let me know I am sure that we could come over. We may have to skip out on the Seafood night though. Your the best!!
